Pre-purchase inspection checklist

VIN 1FMPU16L13LA25224

Inspect these first — most-reported on this model

• Engine And Engine Cooling (132 owner reports)Check coolant level and color, look for leaks, and confirm the engine reaches normal temperature without overheating.
• Electrical System (117 owner reports)Test every electrical feature: windows, locks, infotainment, charging and all lights. Watch for flickering, dead accessories or warning lights.
• Service Brakes (88 owner reports)Brakes should feel firm and quiet — no grinding, pulsing or pulling. Check for an ABS light and uneven pad/rotor wear.
• Hydraulic (64 owner reports)Have a trusted mechanic inspect this system as part of a pre-purchase inspection.
• Tires (62 owner reports)Check tread depth, the DOT age date, and that all four tires match with even wear. Look for bulges or cracks.
• Air Bags (61 owner reports)Confirm the airbag light turns on then off at startup — if it stays lit there's a fault (costly, and a safety risk). Check for signs of prior deployment.
