Pre-purchase inspection checklist

2016 Toyota Sienna

VIN 5TDYZ3DC6HS784675

Inspect these first — most-reported on this model

Structure (27 owner reports)Inspect for rust, fresh undercoating, mismatched paint, uneven panel gaps and any sign of prior collision or frame repair.
Electrical System (9 owner reports)Test every electrical feature: windows, locks, infotainment, charging and all lights. Watch for flickering, dead accessories or warning lights.
Seat Belts (6 owner reports)Check that every belt latches, retracts and locks under a sharp tug, and that none are frayed.
Wheels (5 owner reports)Inspect wheels for bends, cracks and curb rash, and feel for vibration at highway speed.
Air Bags (5 owner reports)Confirm the airbag light turns on then off at startup — if it stays lit there's a fault (costly, and a safety risk). Check for signs of prior deployment.
Engine (4 owner reports)Listen for knocks or ticking, check for leaks and blue/white exhaust smoke, and make sure it doesn't overheat. No check-engine light should be on.
