2005 Volkswagen Touareg

VIN WVGZG77L76D000876

Inspect these first — most-reported on this model

Fuel/propulsion System (16 owner reports)Check for fuel or battery warnings, hard starts and stalling. On a hybrid/EV, confirm charging and range behave normally.
Electrical System (14 owner reports)Test every electrical feature: windows, locks, infotainment, charging and all lights. Watch for flickering, dead accessories or warning lights.
Power Train (10 owner reports)Drive through every gear: watch for slipping, hard or delayed shifts, and shudder. Check for transmission/driveline leaks and noises.
Tires (9 owner reports)Check tread depth, the DOT age date, and that all four tires match with even wear. Look for bulges or cracks.
Air Bags (8 owner reports)Confirm the airbag light turns on then off at startup — if it stays lit there's a fault (costly, and a safety risk). Check for signs of prior deployment.
Fuel System (7 owner reports)Sniff for fuel odor, check for leaks, hard starts or stalling, and confirm the fuel gauge reads correctly.
