NHTSA lists 1 recall campaign for the 2000 Volvo V40 model year. That covers the model year, not this individual car: to see whether a specific vehicle still needs a recall repair, check its VIN on NHTSA.gov or ask a franchised dealer. Recall repairs are free.

What fuel economy does the 2000 Volvo V40 get?

The 2000 Volvo V40 has a U.S. EPA estimate of 21 mpg combined (19 city / 26 highway).
