About the Ford Expedition

The Ford Expedition is a full-size SUV produced by Ford Motor Company since the 1997 model year. Introduced as the replacement for the 1978–1996 Ford Bronco, the Expedition again maintained commonality with the F-150, shifting its form factor to a truck-based five-door station wagon. Initially competing between the Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban, the Expedition also serves a competitor against the Toyota Sequoia, Nissan Armada, and the Jeep (Grand) Wagoneer. From 2000 to 2006, the Expedition was slotted below the Ford Excursion in size. Currently in its fifth generation, the Expedition is produced in two wheelbases, with both versions offering seating for up to eight passengers.

1FMPU18L61LA88183 is a structurally valid 17-character VIN with a correct ISO 3779 check digit, assigned to a manufacturer in United States. It decodes to the 2000 Ford Expedition.

Are there safety recalls on the 2000 Ford Expedition?

Comparable 2000 Ford Expedition listings run roughly $650–$2,800, typically around $1,477 (from 59 comparable vehicles). The full report shows this exact VIN's valuation.

What is the 2000 Ford Expedition safety rating?
