Common problems & what to inspect

Based on all 25 owner complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2011 Chrysler 300C, here are the most-reported problem areas — and what to check before you buy.

🔥 2 involved a fire 🚑 1 reported injury

Electrical System 11 reports

🔍 Test every electrical feature: windows, locks, infotainment, charging and all lights. Watch for flickering, dead accessories or warning lights.

Engine 6 reports

🔍 Listen for knocks or ticking, check for leaks and blue/white exhaust smoke, and make sure it doesn't overheat. No check-engine light should be on.

Fuel/propulsion System 4 reports

🔍 Check for fuel or battery warnings, hard starts and stalling. On a hybrid/EV, confirm charging and range behave normally.

Air Bags 3 reports

🔍 Confirm the airbag light turns on then off at startup — if it stays lit there's a fault (costly, and a safety risk). Check for signs of prior deployment.

Electronic Stability Control (esc) 2 reports

🔍 Have a trusted mechanic inspect this system as part of a pre-purchase inspection.

Service Brakes 2 reports

🔍 Brakes should feel firm and quiet — no grinding, pulsing or pulling. Check for an ABS light and uneven pad/rotor wear.

2C3CCAEM3CH103486 is a structurally valid 17-character VIN with a correct ISO 3779 check digit, assigned to a manufacturer in Canada. It decodes to the 2011 Chrysler 300C.

Are there safety recalls on the 2011 Chrysler 300C?

NHTSA lists no safety-recall campaigns for the 2011 Chrysler 300C model year. That covers the model year, not this individual car: to see whether a specific vehicle still needs a recall repair, check its VIN on NHTSA.gov or ask a franchised dealer. Recall repairs are free.
