What's wrong

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: CLASS A MOTOR HOMES. DURING ICY CONDITIONS, THE WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES COULD STICK TO THE WINDSHIELD WHEN THE SYSTEM IS TURNED ON CAUSING THE MOTOR SHAFT TO SPIN ON THE DRIVE ARM IF THE PIVOT NUT IS NOT PROPERLY TORQUED.

The risk

LOSS OF VISIBILITY COULD OCCUR, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

The fix

DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE TORQUE OF THE PIVOT NUT ON THE DRIVE AND DRIVE ARM.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN APRIL 24, 2000.OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT FORETRAVEL AT 1-800-955-6226, EXT. 254. ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).
