What's wrong

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: FIRE TRUCK CHASSIS WITH CATERPILLAR 3126 ENGINES. THE ALTERNATOR CABLE WAS ROUTED OVER THE TOP OF THE ALTERNATOR, AND IN SOME CASES, ALLOWED THE CABLE TO MAKE CONTACT WITH AND WEAR ON STRUCTURAL MEMBERS OF THE ENGINE ENCLOSURE.

The risk

The fix

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
