What's wrong

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTORCYCLES. THREADED FASTENERS USED TO ATTACH THE FUEL PUMP TO THE FUEL TANK MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TIGHTENED.

The risk

THIS COULD RESULT IN FUEL LEAKS. FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.

The fix

DEALERS WILL TIGHTEN THESE FASTENERS. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN ON DECEMBER 11, 2001. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT VICTORY/POLARIS AT 1-763-417-8650.
