What's wrong

ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, A FUEL VALVE'S OUTLET NIPPLE, TO WHICH THE FUEL LINE ATTACHES, MAY PULL OUT OF THE FUEL VALVE, ALLOWING FUEL TO EXIT ONTO THE MOTOR AND PRIMARY DRIVE.

The risk

FUEL SPILLAGE, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.

The fix

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FUEL (SHUT OFF) VALVE. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN APRIL 1, 2002. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT BIG DOG AT 1-316-267-2597.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
