What's wrong

ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES BUILT ON CHEVROLET G-VAN CHASSIS, IT IS POSSIBLE, THAT ON SOME UNITS, THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT WAS NOT ASSEMBLED CORRECTLY TO THE STRUCTURAL MEMBER OF THE VEHICLE. THE SWIVEL PLATE MAY NOT BE ATTACHED TO THE BOLT HOLDING THE RETRACTOR ASSEMBLY.

The risk

IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, THE SEAT OCCUPANT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY RESTRAINED INCREASING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY.

The fix

DEALERS WILL REMOVE AND REINSTALL THE SWIVEL PLATE CORRECTLY. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN JULY 25, 2002. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT HOME & PARK AT 1-888-762-3873.
