Recall 04V212000 · manufacturer campaign TS-0007
Wheels › Hub — Trailstar · reported 10 May 2004 · 61 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
ON CERTAIN SINGLE-AXLE BOAT TRAILERS, THE WHEELS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY MACHINED CAUSING THE WHEELS TO DISENGAGE FROM THE WHEEL HUB.
The risk
THIS COULD CAUSE THE WHEELS TO BECOME LOOSE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The fix
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE WHEELS. IF THE WHEELS HAVE A BEVELED EDGE PREVENTING THE CAP FROM SETTING FLUSH, THE WHEEL ASSEMBLY WILL BE REPLACED. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN ON APRIL 19, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT TRACKER MARINE AT 1-417-873-4555.
TRACKER MARINE RECALL NO.TS-0007.CUSTOMERS CAN ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
