Wheels › Lugs/nuts/bolts/studs — Jlg · reported 15 Mar 2005 · 335 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
USER MANUALS SENT WITH THESE TRAILERS INCORRECTLY STATE THE VALUES FOR THE WHEEL LUG NUT TORQUE.
The risk
IN THE EVENT THAT THE LUG NUTS ARE TORQUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INCORRECT INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THE MANUAL, THE LUG NUTS WILL NOT BE TORQUED PROPERLY PRIOR TO TOWING OF THE TRAILER. IMPROPERLY TORQUED LUG NUTS MAY LEAD TO BROKEN STUDS AND WHEEL DETACHMENT. A CRASH MAY OCCUR RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURIES.
The fix
JLG WILL MAIL TO DEALERS AND OWNERS A NEW USER'S MANUAL. THE RECALL BEGAN APRIL 6, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT JLG INDUSTRIES AT 877-554-7233.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
