Recall 05V323000
Electrical System — Airstream · reported 15 Jul 2005 · 213 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES BUILT ON WORKHORSE CHASSIS AND EQUIPPED WITH ACTIA CORPORATE INSTRUMENT CLUSTERS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD (FMVSS)NOS. 101 "CONTROLS AND DISPLAYS" AND 105 "HYDRAULIC AND ELECTRIC BRAKE SYSTEMS." THE INCORRECT SOFTWARE PROGRAMMED INTO THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER SUCH THAT CERTAIN DRIVER WARNINGS REQUIRED BY FMVSS 101 AND 105 ARE NOT DISPLAYED. AS A RESULT OF THIS INCORRECT SOFTWARE, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER MAY FAIL TO ILLUMINATE WARNING LAMPS INDICATING BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE CODES.
The risk
DRIVERS WOULD NOT BE WARNED OF BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURES.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
