Recall 05V563000 · manufacturer campaign CA#5900-05
Equipment › Other › Labels — Triple E Rv · reported 20 Dec 2005 · 14 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 207, "SEATING SYSTEMS." VEHICLE SEATS THAT DO NOT HAVE A SEAT BELT MUST HAVE A DECAL ON THE SEATING LOCATION THAT STATES: "THIS SEAT NOT FOR OCCUPANCY WHILE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION." THESE LABELS ARE MISSING.
The risk
IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, A SEAT OCCUPANT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY RESTRAINED IF USING SEATS WHICH DO NOT HAVE SEAT BELTS, INCREASING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY.
The fix
OWNERS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH CORRECTED LABELS AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FREE OF CHARGE. AT THE CUSTOMER'S OPTION, A DEALER CAN INSTALL THE LABEL FOR THEM. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 13, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TRIPLE E RV AT 204-325-4361.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
