What's wrong

ON CERTAIN TRANSIT BUSES EQUIPPED WITH CATERPILLAR C9 DIESEL ENGINES, THE TURBOCHARGER COMPRESSORS ARE FAILING AND OIL CAN BE DISCHARGED INTO THE EXHAUST AND EXTERNAL TO THE TURBOCHARGER.

A FIRE CAN OCCUR.

The fix

CATERPILLAR IS CONDUCTING THIS RECALL (PLEASE SEE 06E047) AND WILL REPAIR THE ENGINES FREE OF CHARGE. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CATERPILLAR AT 1-800-447-7332, OR NEW FLYER AT 204-934-4876.
