Recall 06V336000 · manufacturer campaign 123D
Structure › Frame And Members — Wilson · reported 7 Sep 2006 · 284 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
ON CERTAIN GRAIN TRAILERS, A FATIGUE FAILURE (CRACKING) OF THE ALUMINUM ANGLE BEHIND THE KING PIN SUPPORT BEAM CAN OCCUR CAUSING DISTORTION OF THE BOTTOM RAIL AND COMPROMISING THE KING PIN ASSEMBLY.
The risk
IF THE ANGLE FAILS BY WAY OF CRACKING OR DEFORMATION, THE BOTTOM RAIL OF THE TRAILER, WHICH SUPPORTS THE BEAM, COULD BE AFFECTED AND COMPROMISE THE STRENGTH OF THE KING PIN ASSEMBLY, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The fix
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE AREA OF CONCERN, MAKE NECESSARY REPAIRS, AND INSTALL A SUPPORT PLATE TO STRENGTHEN THE ANGLE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 5, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT WILSON AT 1-800-798-2002.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
