What's wrong
BI-MART IS RECALLING 3,800 LONG CHIH TRAILERS FOR FAILING TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 110, "TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS" IN THAT THEY ARE MISSING A TIRE PLACARD LABEL. ALSO, THE GVWR ON THE CERTIFICATION LABEL ON SOME OF THE TRAILERS IS INCORRECT. FINALLY, THE GVWR AND GAWR MUST BE STATED IN POUNDS.
The risk
THE MISSING AND INCORRECT INFORMATION COULD LEAD TO IMPROPER VEHICLE LOADING OR TIRE INFLATION WHICH COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The fix
LONG CHIH IS CONDUCTING THE REMEDY FOR THIS CAMPAIGN AND CORRECTED LABELS WILL BE MAILED TO CONSUMERS WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO PROPERLY AFFIX THE CORRECTED LABEL TO THE TRAILER PLEASE SEE 09V-079. OWNERS MAY CONTACT LONG CHIH AT 886-2-29068666.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
