Recall 10V068000
Equipment — Mitsubishi Fuso · reported 3 Mar 2010 · 1,517 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
MITSUBISHI FUSO IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 FE83D, FE84D, FE85D AND FG84D VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BETWEEN OCTOBER 1 AND DECEMBER 25, 2009. THE WEATHER RESISTANCE PROPERTIES OF THE AIR INTAKE DUCT RUBBER CUSHIONS IS INSUFFICIENT. DURING NORMAL VEHICLE OPERATION, THE RUBBER CUSHIONS DETERIORATE AND CRACK, CAUSING ABNORMAL NOISE.
The risk
ALL OF THE RUBBER CUSHIONS COULD CRACK, ALLOWING THE AIR INTAKE DUCT TO FALL OFF OF THE TRUCK INCREASING THE RISK OF CRASH.
The fix
DEALERS WILL REPLACE ALL OF THE AIR INTAKE DUCT RUBBER CUSHIONS WITH COMPONENTS MANUFACTURED TO PROPER SPECIFICATIONS. THIS REMEDY WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 19, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MITSUBISHI FUSO AT 1-856-467-4500.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
