Vehicle Speed Control › Accelerator Pedal — Bad Boy · reported 1 Jun 2010 · 372 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
BAD BOY ENTERPRISES IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2009 AND 2010 LOW SPEED VEHICLES (LSV) KNOWN AS THE CLASSIC LSV MODEL (INCLUDING THE STRETCH MODELS) MANUFACTURED FROM NOVEMBER 10, 2009 THROUGH MAY 24, 2010. THIS RECALL DOES NOT APPLY TO XT LSV MODELS. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL CAN BECOME DAMAGED DUE TO EXPOSURE TO WATER. A DAMAGED PEDAL CAN SEND A VOLTAGE READING OUTSIDE THE RANGE EXPECTED BY THE CONTROLLER, AND THE CONTROLLER WILL SEND CURRENT AND VOLTAGE TO THE ELECTRIC MOTOR CAUSING UNINTENDED ACCELERATION.
The risk
UNINTENDED ACCELERATION COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.

BAD BOY WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 30, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT BAD BOY AT 1-866-678-6701.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
