Recall 10V348000 · manufacturer campaign 61101-C
Fuel System, Gasoline › Storage › Tank Assembly — Workhorse · reported 27 Jul 2010 · 1,328 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
NAVISTAR IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 WORKHORSE W22 AND R26 TRUCKS MANUFACTURED FROM FEBRUARY 5, 2007 THROUGH MAY 24, 2010. THE FUEL-FILL CAP ASSEMBLIES USED TO SEAL THE UNUSED SIDE OF THE DUAL-FILL GASOLINE FUEL TANK WERE PRODUCED WITH A HOSE MATERIAL THAT DID NOT MEET DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS. DURING NORMAL USAGE THE HOSE MATERIAL MAY DETERIORATE WHICH MAY RESULT IN FUEL LEAKS.
The risk
A FUEL LEAK INCREASES THE RISK OF A FIRE WHICH MAY RESULT IN PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR DEATH.
The fix
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE ORIGINAL FUEL-FILL CAP ASSEMBLIES WITH ONES ASSEMBLED WITH HOSE MATERIAL THAT MEETS DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 8, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NAVISTAR AT 1-260-461-1890.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
