Recall 10V351000
Equipment Adaptive/mobility — Eldorado · reported 27 Jul 2010 · 1,167 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
ELDORADO NATIONAL IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2008-2010 AERO ELITE, AEROLITE, AEROTECH, TRANSTECH, AND VERSA SHUTTLE MOTORHOMES FITTED WITH RICON PUBLIC USE LIFTS. THE WHEELCHAIR LIFTS WERE TO BE EQUIPPED WITH A RESTRAINT BUCKLE THAT HAS AN INTERLOCK FEATURE DESIGNED TO PREVENT THE LIFT FROM OPERATING IF THE BUCKLE IS NOT LATCHED. IN THE RECALLED MOTORHOMES, HOWEVER, THE INTERLOCK FEATURE MAY NOT OPERATE PROPERLY AND THE LIFT MAY OPERATE EVEN WHEN THE BUCKLE IS NOT LATCHED.
The risk
THE WHEELCHAIR MAY MOVE DURING LIFT OPERATION AND THE UNSECURED OCCUPANT, COULD BE INJURED.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
