Recall 13V021000 · manufacturer campaign SR13-05

Exterior Lighting — Prevost · reported 22 Jan 2013 · 45 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Prevost is recalling certain model year 2013 X3-45, H3-45, and XLII-45 Entertainer coach buses and coach bus shells manufactured September 25, 2012, through January 9, 2013, for failing to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." The buses may have missing side reflectors.

The risk

The absence of reflectors could reduce the ability for others to see the bus, increasing the risk that another vehicle may crash into the bus.

The fix

Prevost will notify owners, and dealers will add side reflectors, free of charge. The recall began on February 5, 2013. Owners may contact Prevost at 1-418-883-2888 x 6558.

Prevost's campaign recall number is SR13-05.Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
