Recall 13V111000

Steering — Temsa · reported 29 Mar 2013 · 25 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Temsa Global is recalling certain model year 2013 TS35C motorcoach buses manufactured between January 2013 and February 2013 and equipped without a key on the steering column. A component within the steering column may cause the steering wheel to lock.

The risk

If the steering locks unexpectedly, it would hinder the driver's ability to turn, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Temsa Global will notify owners, and dealers will remedy the affected buses, free of charge. The recall began on April 3, 2013. Owners may contact Temsa at 1-404-602-0151.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
