Recall 13V372000

Equipment — Crossroads · reported 20 Aug 2013 · 1,931 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Crossroads RV is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 Redwood recreational vehicles manufactured August 26, 2011, through August 14, 2013. While the vehicle is moving, shifting cargo may accidentally activate the switch used to deploy the power awning.

The risk

The awning may unfurl unexpectedly increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Crossroads RV will notify owners, and dealers will install a cover over the switches, free of charge. The recall began on October 7, 2013. Owners may contact Crossroads RV by email at "[email protected]," or by phone at 1-855-226-7496.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
