Recall 13V408000

Equipment › Electrical — Eldorado · reported 6 Sep 2013 · 1,765 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Eldorado National – Kansas (Eldorado) is recalling certain model year 2010 Aerotech, Aero Elite, and Aerolite buses manufactured from August 1, 2009, through July 31, 2010, equipped with A&M Systems door headers containing model 3230 circuit boards. Voltage spikes may damage electrical components and electrical circuits, causing the circuit board to develop high resistance.

The risk

High resistance may cause the board to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

The fix

Eldorado will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the door header and replace any defective circuit board, free of charge. The safety recall began on November 4, 2013. Owners may contact Eldorado at 1-574-522-5000 ext. 15.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
