Recall 14V233000 · manufacturer campaign 14-206
Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/trailer — Keystone · reported 5 May 2014 · 101 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain model year 2014 Dutchmen Infinity fifth wheel trailers, models 3210RE, 3610RL and 3710BH, manufactured August 1, 2013, through April 3, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the leading edge of the interior steps may fracture.
The risk
If the interior steps fracture, a person may fall, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix
Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will install a brace kit to provide additional support for the steps, free of charge. The recall began in June 2014. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 14-206.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
