Recall 14V254000
Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/trailer › Lpg Systems › Lines And Fittings — Open Range · reported 23 Apr 2014 · 12 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Highland Ridge RV (Highland Ridge) is recalling certain 2014 Open Range LF319 fifth wheel recreational trailers manufactured October 23, 2013, through March 10, 2014. The flexible gas line for the kitchen slideout section is too short.
The risk
When the kitchen area is expanded, the gas line may be pulled excessively, resulting in a gas leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
The fix
Highland Ridge will notify owners and dealers will replace the existing gas line with a new longer gas line, free of charge. The recall began in July 2014. Owners may contact Highland Ridge at 1-260-768-7771.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
