Recall 14V751000 · manufacturer campaign 14E-051
Fuel System, Diesel — Capacity · reported 24 Nov 2014 · 20 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Capacity of Texas (Capacity) is recalling certain model year 2014 ISB13 trucks manufactured from April 28, 2014, to July 10, 2014. The Cummins ISB or ISL engines in these vehicles may have been equipped with Fleetguard UFF-XT fuel filters, part number FF63009, whose filter shell may separate from the fuel filter nut plate causing the engine to stall without warning.
The risk
If the engine stalls unexpectedly there is an increased risk of a crash.
The fix
Capacity will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel filter with a non-defective one, free of charge. The recall is expected to during December 2014. Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
