Recall 14V769000 · manufacturer campaign CR3280

Seats — Nova Bus · reported 3 Dec 2014 · 7 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Nova Bus is recalling certain model year 2012 LFS transit buses manufactured June 27, 2012, to October 15, 2012, and equipped with slim flip-up seats. In the affected vehicles, the anchor rivnut may not properly secure one end of the seat to the bus wall.

The risk

If the seat detaches from the wall, there is an increased risk of injury.

The fix

Nova Bus will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the anchor rivnut, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began December 19, 2014. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682. Nova Bus' number for this recall is CR3280.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
