Exterior Lighting — Arboc · reported 19 Dec 2014 · 94 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

ARBOC Specialty Vehicles, LLC (ARBOC) is recalling certain model year 2015 Spirit of Mobility, and Spirit of Freedom transit buses manufactured July 1, 2014, to December 12, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the exterior electrical connections for the side marker lights may not be weatherized.

The risk

Exposed electrical connections may short, increasing the risk of a fire.

The fix

ARBOC will notify owners, and dealers will install heat shrink to weatherize the connections, free of charge. The recall began on January 6, 2015. Owners may contact ARBOC customer service at 1-866-953-5555. ARBOC's number for this recall is RC056301.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
