Recall 15V027000 · manufacturer campaign A-1410

Fuel System, Other › Fuel Filter — Autocar · reported 23 Jan 2015 · 38 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain model year 2015 Xpeditor trucks manufactured May 22, 2014, to July 17, 2014. The Cummins ISB or ISL engines in these vehicles may have been equipped with Fleetguard UFF-XT fuel filters, part number FF63009, whose filter shell may separate from the fuel filter nut plate causing the engine to stall without warning.

The risk

If the engine stalls unexpectedly there is an increased risk of a crash.

The fix

Cummins will notify owners for Autocar, and dealers will replace the fuel filter with a non-defective one, free of charge. The recall began September 29, 2014. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-765-489-5499, or Cummins customer service at 1-800-343-7357. Autocar's number for this recall is A-1410.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
