Recall 15V074000 · manufacturer campaign CR1287

Service Brakes, Air › Antilock — Nova Bus · reported 9 Feb 2015 · 5 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Nova Bus (Nova) is recalling certain model year 2007 LFS transit buses manufactured January 1, 2007, to December 31, 2007. Two wires in the antilock brake system (ABS) connector may be reversed, and the ABS may be disabled.

The risk

Without a functioning antilock brake system, there is an increased risk of a crash.

The fix

Nova notified owners, and dealers inspected and corrected the position of the wires, as necessary, free of charge. Owners may contact Nova customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova's number for this recall is CR1287.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
