Recall 15V235000 · manufacturer campaign 9902237 9902238
Suspension › Rear › Axle › Non-powered Axle Assembly — Starcraft Rv Tt · reported 21 Apr 2015 · 34 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Starcraft RV (Starcraft) is recalling certain model year 2016 Autumn Ridge ARONE Maxx 289BHS, 346RESA, 286KBS, 329BHU, and 30BHU, trailers manufactured March 17, 2015, to April 14, 2015. In the affected trailers, the studs that are used to attach the wheels to the axle hubs may break.
The risk
If the wheel studs break, the wheel could detach from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Starcraft will notify owners, and dealers will replace any affected wheel hub, free of charge. The recall began on June 15, 2015. Owners may contact Starcraft customer service at 1-800-945-4787. Starcraft's numbers for this recall are 9902237 and 9902238.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
