Recall 15V238000 · manufacturer campaign 9904237 9904238
Suspension › Rear › Axle › Non-powered Axle Assembly — Highland Ridge Fw, Highland Ridge Tt · reported 21 Apr 2015 · 20 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Highland Ridge RV (Highland) is recalling certain model year 2016 Mesa Ridge, 3X, and Roamer travel trailers and fifth wheels, models 367FB, 388RKS, and 427BHS, manufactured from April 27, 2015, to May 6, 2015. In the affected trailers, the studs that are used to attach the wheels to the axle hubs may break.
The risk
If the wheel studs break, the wheel could detach from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Highland will notify owners, and dealers will replace any affected wheel hub, free of charge. The recall began on June 16, 2015. Owners may contact Highland customer service at 1-260-768-7771. Highland's numbers for this recall are 9904237 and 9904238.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
