Recall 15V489000
Structure — Felling · reported 5 Aug 2015 · 92 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Felling Trailers, Inc (Felling) is recalling certain model year 2016 FT-6T tilting trailers manufactured from February 15, 2015, through June 30, 2015. Due to an improper placement of the fender, the tires on affected trailers may rub against the fenders.
The risk
If the tire rubs on the fender, tire damage may occur, possibly causing tire failure and increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Felling has notified owners, and dealers will measure the tire clearance and install a lift kit if necessary, free of charge. The recall began on September 11, 2015. Owners may contact Felling customer service at 1-888-335-5464.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
