Recall 15V588000

Suspension › Rear › Axle › Non-powered Axle Assembly — Qualitec, Stealth · reported 23 Sep 2015 · 165 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Stealth Enterprises LLC DBA Stealth Trailers (Stealth Trailers) is recalling certain model year 2016 Qualitec Gooseneck and Yukon, Stealth Super-Lite, Predator, Intruder, Car Hauler Express, Gooseneck, Liberty, Liberty Limited Edition, Phantom I, Prowler, Titan, Titan SE, Viper, and Coldshore trailers manufactured March 9, 2015, to March 23, 2015. In the affected trailers, the studs that are used to attach the wheels to the axle hubs may break.

The risk

If the wheel studs break, the wheel could detach from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Stealth Trailers will notify owners, and dealers will replace any affected wheel hub, free of charge. The began on October 23, 2015. Owners may contact Stealth Trailers customer service at 1-574-848-5900.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
