Engine And Engine Cooling › Exhaust System — Glaval Bus · reported 24 Sep 2015 · 17 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2011-2016 Glaval Titan II Low Floor diesel transit buses manufactured October 5, 2011, to September 11, 2015. During installation of the floor decking, a screw may have pierced the exhaust tube.

The risk

If the exhaust tube was pierced and the screw is removed, exhaust fumes may enter the passenger area. Additionally, there is an increased risk of a fire.

The fix

Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will remove and inspect the exhaust system, sealing or replacing it, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on October 7, 2015. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-445-2825 ext 167. Forest River's number for this recall is 35-20222015-0091.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
