Recall 15V598000

Suspension › Front — E-one · reported 24 Sep 2015 · 9 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

E-One Incorporated (E-One) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Typhoon, Cyclone II, and Quest emergency vehicles manufactured August 2, 2013, to December 16, 2014. The affected vehicles have front independent suspension assemblies that may have loose ball joints which could separate causing a loss of steering control.

The risk

A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.

The fix

E-One will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and repair the suspension assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on October 9, 2015. Owners may contact E-One customer service at 1-800-627-5050.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
