Recall 15V716000

Structure › Body › Door — Eldorado · reported 29 Oct 2015 · 58 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Eldorado National-California, Inc. (Eldorado National) is recalling certain model year 2009-2010 Passport buses manufactured April 2, 2009, to June 30, 2010 and equipped with A&M Systems-brand door actuators. Voltage spikes may damage electrical components and electrical circuits, causing the actuator's circuit board to develop high resistance.

The risk

High resistance may cause the board to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

The fix

Eldorado National will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected circuit boards, free of charge. The recall began on December 2, 2015. Owners may contact Eldorado National customer service at 1-909-591-9557.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
