Recall 15V762000 · manufacturer campaign 15-242
Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/trailer — Dutchmen · reported 17 Nov 2015 · 1,756 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Dutchmen Voltage recreational trailers manufactured August 6, 2014, to October 15, 2015. The affected vehicles may be equipped with an exterior folding ladder that is not properly secured to the vehicle wall.
The risk
If the ladder is not properly attached to the trailer, the ladder may detach while being used, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix
Keystone has notified owners, and dealers will inspect the trailers and install the appropriate fasteners to properly secure the ladder to vehicle wall, free of charge. The recall began on December 8, 2015. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 15-242.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
