Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/trailer › Lpg Systems › Water Heater — Triple E Rv · reported 7 Dec 2015 · 2 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Triple E Recreational Vehicles (Triple E) is recalling certain model year 2014 Regency GT 24MB motorhomes manufactured September 1, 2013, to December 1, 2013, equipped with certain Atwood on demand water heaters. The affected water heaters have a water and gas valve that may cause the water heater to overheat the water in the hot water supply tap.

The risk

The overheating of the water may result in the release of steam, possibly causing the operator is to scald themselves, increasing the risk of injury.

The fix

Triple E will notify owners and Atwood dealers will remedy the hot water heater issue, free of charge. The recall began on January 8, 2016. Owners may contact Triple E customer service at 1-204-325-4361, or Atwood customer service at 1-574-264-2131. Triple E's number for this recall is Atwood Water Heater.
