Recall 15V849000 · manufacturer campaign 300
Fuel System, Gasoline › Delivery › Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings — Maserati · reported 18 Dec 2015 · 33 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Maserati North America, Inc. (Maserati) is recalling certain model year 2016 Granturismo and Granturismo Convertible vehicles manufactured September 1, 2015, to November 30, 2015. The affected vehicles are equipped with a non-galvanized main fuel delivery line that may corrode and result in a fuel leak.
The risk
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
The fix
Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the main delivery fuel line, free of charge. The recall began on January 7, 2016. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 300.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
