Recall 16V152000

Visibility › Windshield Wiper/washer › Switch/wiring — Stallion · reported 11 Mar 2016 · 12 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Stallion Bus and Transit Corp. (Stallion Bus) is recalling certain model year 2013 900 series transit buses manufactured from March 1, 2013, through October 31, 2013. The 12 volt to 24 volt power converter on the wiper system may shut off when the wiper speed is changed resulting in a loss of wiper function.

The risk

Visibility will be reduced should the wiper assembly stop working during operation, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

The fix

All of the affected buses were repaired on April 30, 2014. Therefore, an owner notification letter will not be issued for this recall campaign. Owners may contact Stallion Bus customer service at 1-631-270-3800.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
