Recall 16V174000 · manufacturer campaign SN622

Structure — Terex · reported 28 Mar 2016 · 33 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain model year 2007-2013 TLM37, TLM40, TLM41, and TLM50 aerial devices manufactured March 29, 2007, to January 31, 2013. The aerial devices have the pedestal attached to the lift turrets that may crack due to missing reinforcements.

The risk

Cracks, if not repaired, may result in the failure of the aerial pedestal, increasing the risk of injury to the operator or those nearby.

The fix

Terex will notify owners, and dealers will install reinforcement plates on the pedestal, free of charge. The recall began on April 22, 2016. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-800-982-8975. Terex's number for this recall is SN622.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
