Recall 16V235000 · manufacturer campaign IK3285
Tires — Vermeer · reported 22 Apr 2016 · 158 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Vermeer Manufacturing Company (Vermeer) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 TLR33 trailers manufactured June 10, 2015, to April 14, 2016. The affected trailers may be equipped with undersized tires resulting in the tires rubbing against the fenders.
The risk
Tire contact with the fender may cause sudden tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Vermeer will provide an install kit with necessary parts and instructions to install a frame lift, free of charge. The recall began on June 16, 2016. Owners may contact Vermeer customer service at 1-641-628-3141. Vermeer's number for this recall is IK3285.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
