Recall 16V316000 · manufacturer campaign ACX-1602

Suspension › Rear › Axle › Spindle — Autocar · reported 18 May 2016 · 67 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Xpeditor vehicles manufactured March 04, 2016, through April 21, 2016. The tab lock washers on the rear axle wheel ends may not have been properly bent over the outer spindle nut during assembly.

The risk

If the spindle nuts loosen, the wheel assembly may separate from the rear axle, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Autocar will notify owners and dealers will inspect the tab lock washers and remedy tabs where needed, free of charge. The recall began on June 30, 2016. Owners may contact Autocar's customer service at 1-765-489-5499. Autocar's number for this recall is ACX-1602.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
