What's wrong

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain model year 2017 Outlaw motorhomes manufactured January 15, 2016, to June 24, 2016. The affected vehicles are missing a warning label near the fuel fill station. This label warns operators not to smoke while in the presence of flammable vapors.

The risk

An operator that smokes near the fuel fill station with flammable vapors present can increase the risk of a fire.

The fix

TMC will notify owners, and dealers will install the warning label, free of charge. The recall began on August 9, 2016. Owners may contact TMC's Customer Service Department at 1-877-500-1020. TMC's number for this recall is RC000120.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
