Recall 16V780000 · manufacturer campaign 29-10212016-0261

Equipment — Forest River · reported 26 Oct 2016 · 22 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016 Rockport cargo box trucks and work trucks manufactured December 8, 2015, to May 31, 2016 and built on GM chassis. Cycling the rear ramp in and out may cause the electrical connections on the fuel sending unit to be damaged, resulting in a loss of fuel pressure.

The risk

A loss of fuel pressure will result in an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will reinstall the loading ramp structure to give sufficient clearance, free of charge. The recall began on November 29, 2016. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-522-7599. Forest River's number for this recall is 29-10212016-0261.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
