What's wrong

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2017 Vibe trailers manufactured September 20, 2016, to October 20, 2016. The outside of the kitchen stove may have been connected to a 12V D.C. positive circuit, potentially shocking a user that touches it.

The risk

An energized stove may increase the risk of an electrical shock and injury.

The fix

Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will disconnect the positive wire, free of charge. The recall began on December 20, 2016. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-296-2084 extension 105. Forest River's number for this recall is 59-102212016-0260.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
